What this policy covers

This policy explains what data PerfBoard.app collects, how it is used, and your rights regarding that data.

Who we are

PerfBoard is operated by Pyrworks LLC, based in California, United States. Contact: [email protected].

Age

PerfBoard is not directed to anyone under the age of 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child under 16 has given us personal data, contact us at [email protected] and we will delete it.

Data we collect

When you sign in with Google, PerfBoard receives your name, email address, and profile photo.

When you use the app, PerfBoard stores your designs, wire routing data, cut sheets, bend guides, workspace or project metadata, and your plan status (free or Pro).

PerfBoard also records a small set of first-party product events so we can understand how the Pro export feature is used and improve it. These events note when you reach the export upgrade prompt, click to upgrade, start a checkout, complete a purchase, or run an export, along with your account ID and a timestamp. They are stored only in our own database (Cloud Firestore) and are never sent to any third-party analytics service.

Payments

PerfBoard Pro is a one-time purchase processed by Stripe, our payment processor. Your card details are entered on Stripe's checkout and handled entirely by Stripe; PerfBoard never receives or stores your full card number. From the purchase we receive confirmation that payment succeeded and a transaction identifier, used to unlock Pro on your account. Stripe processes this data as described at stripe.com/privacy.

How we use your data

Your data is used primarily to provide the PerfBoard application, including authentication, saving designs, loading them later, and workspace collaboration.

The one exception is product email. If you explicitly opt in, PerfBoard uses your email address to send occasional product updates, new-feature announcements, and requests for feedback. Opt-in is off by default, never assumed, and reversible at any time from your Settings page. PerfBoard does not email users who have not opted in.

PerfBoard records the first-party product events described above to measure how the Pro export feature performs. Beyond that, PerfBoard does not sell or share user data, use any third-party analytics service, display ads, use tracking pixels, or profile users. Firebase Analytics is disabled; any usage measurement is first-party only.

Marketing communications

Product emails (new features, product updates, and feedback requests) are sent only with your consent. The legal basis is your explicit opt-in, which is off by default. You can withdraw consent at any time using the Product emails toggle on your Settings page; it takes effect immediately, and we stop sending you these emails. Withdrawing consent does not affect essential service emails such as security or account notices.

Where your data is stored

Account and design data is stored using Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore on Google Cloud infrastructure. Payment information is handled by Stripe (see Payments above).

If you are in the European Union, your data is processed on Google Cloud and Stripe infrastructure that may be located in the United States. These transfers rely on the Standard Contractual Clauses and the EU to US Data Privacy Framework participation of those providers.

Cookies

Only essential cookies required for authentication and session management are used. There are no tracking or advertising cookies.

Data retention

Your data remains available while your account exists. You can delete individual designs in the app. For full account deletion, email [email protected].

Your rights

California residents may request access to or deletion of personal information and may exercise non-discrimination rights under CCPA/CPRA.

You have the right to access your data, to correct it, to have it erased, to restrict how we process it, to receive a copy of it in a portable form, and to object to processing we carry out on the basis of our legitimate interest, which covers the product events described above. You can also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Third-party services

PerfBoard uses two third-party services: Firebase, part of Google Cloud, for authentication and database storage, and Stripe for processing payments. PerfBoard does not integrate with any analytics platforms, ad networks, or other third-party services.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we update the effective date at the top of this page and ask you to review and acknowledge the change the next time you sign in, before you continue using the app. We do not rely on email for these notices.
